Girls Trip to Mesquite

So we needed a break from all the husbands and hunting. So we took a little trip down to Mesquite. We stayed in my mom's condo and just relaxed and goofed around. We had so much fun. The trip included Jen, Sara, Brittney, Erica and myself. We decided to dress up in 80s clothes and do our hair in the very fashionable 80s do's, we looked so goofy but we had a great time making fools of ourselves. The same night of the 80s, my friends surprised me with a little birthday surprise since my birthday is coming up soon. It was so sweet. They gave me a letter that took us on a picture scavenger hunt. I had to get a picture doing a handstand in front of the waterfall at Casablanca, find a group of people to sing "I'm a little teapot" for me, and find the oldest man around to give me a birthday kiss on the cheek. It was pretty funny since we were all dressed in 80s garb trying to find people to sing. But here are some pics of our fun getaway!

I think this was taken in 2002 and I am not exactly sure of which race it was. But this is the year he was the National Champion Hillclimber for the Semi Pro Class!

Halloween 2008

So this a bit late, but I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. My kids had so much fun and looked great in their costumes. I had a hard time getting Dagen to to get his picture taken, but I do have a picture of him from another party. Dagen was Optimus Prime the Transformer, Logen was a skeleton without a mask (he refused to wear it), and Graden was a Disco baby!




We also went up to Cornbelly's last week, but stay tuned for those pics. I am out of time! Have a great day everyone!

Vineyard Pumpkin Patch

Last week I took the kids out to the Vineyard Pumpkin Land. It was really cute. We went in the corn maze and found the witch who told us the secret password for the kids to get a treat at the end of the maze. After the maze we went to see all the animals. And then to the playground. They had a giant pumpkin that you could sit in and tunnels for the kids to climb through. After we (or I should say I) was finished with the playground we went into the lighted area. They had Cinderella's carriage and tons of different Halloween themes lighted up. It was really cute. I also went last week to see Thriller with some friends. But I didn't take any pics of the show. But here is a pic of us at dinner. We had such a great time. I love the tradition that we have started doing. We have gone the last few years and have a great time every year. Thanks girls for a great time!

Busy Week!

Okay so we had a busy week. We went up to Gardners Village for the witch festival. The kids and I went with: Glenda (Chad's mom), Christy, Heather, Tiffany (Chad's sisters), Joan (Chad's Aunt), and all the kids! We had a great time. The kids love to see the witches and especially love to shop at the candy store!







On Wednesday, we had a family birthday party for Logen. He had all of his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents over. He got lots of great gifts. Our little guy doesn't love cake but loves ice cream so I made him an ice cream cake instead. He was so funny he didn't want the cake that was given to him on his plate he wanted it straight out of the pan. He was even feeding Grandma Deb out of the pan also. He is such a crazy kid. But he brings so much laughter in our family. Thank you everyone that came to celebrate his special day with us.






Friday came and it was time to go to the cabin for the annual deer hunt! I stayed Saturday morning with the kids while Chad, Matt and Jen all went out looking for the monster buck. But didn't find one. So that evening we took the kids out on the boat to the island in Strawberry and looked for the monster there. We found some good bucks but it was getting too late to go after them, we will get them in the morning. As we were looking around the island Saturday we watched a deer swim across the lake. It was pretty amazing, the kids loved watching all the deer. Sunday morning came and we went out to stalk the bucks. We got to the island, parked the boat and started hiking (very big island). We were going after some bucks, so we went up the ridge next to them and got up there and just when we finally got to a point to see them, they went over the top of the hill. So we hiked clear throughout the entire island, but never found another buck. Pretty depressing. So our hunt ended for the weekend and we will have to start all over again next weekend.

It is kind of hard to see, but this is the picture of the deer swimming across the lake. We didn't want to get too close, we were afraid that it would panic and drown.

Logen's 3rd birthday was Sunday. So after our hunt we made him the usual pancake with a candle and sang to him. We stopped at Grandpa Clive's and Kris' on our way home. They gave him a really fun train set. They made cupcakes and sang to him. We stopped at Morgan's house (Chad's niece) for her birthday party also. Logen, Morgan, and Grandma Shirley (Chad's G-ma) all share the same birthday! We finally made it home from the cabin and threw together some dinner and let Logen open his birthday gifts from us. He got a Leapster (he always takes Dagen's), transformer, movies, and clothes! I think he had a pretty fun day! Happy Birthday Little Man, We Love You!!

Logen is having a birthday on the 19th. So I dropped Dagen and Taite off at school and ran to get some pics done. I have been so busy I just haven't had the time to get them done. So I stopped in at Kiddie Kandids and he did such a great job. Here they are:







I have been wanting to do some pics with the three boys together. Does anyone have any suggestions on a photographer that does well with rowdy boys?!?

Dagen is Silly!

So we were eating dinner last night. And I had cooked some green beans. I looked over at Dagen and he was disecting his beans and saving the seeds.

Mom: Dagen why aren't you eating the seeds?

Dagen: I am going to go plant them out back, so we can have more beans.

Mom: Okay I would love to have more beans. That is a great idea!

Dagen: I know they are my favorite food!

So after dinner he took all of his seeds and went and planted them in the sandbox. Do you think we will get green beans next spring?!?

Sometimes he says the funniest things! But I still love him!

Lunches??

Okay so I am stuck on lunches. We are constantly having the same things over and over. Does anyone have some good, healthy, fun lunch ideas??

Happy 30th Birthday!

To my wonderful husband, friend and best daddy ever. Happy birthday old man! I can give him a hard time about being so old because I am ALOT younger than him! This is a couple days late, but for good reason. We went up to the cabin for his birthday and the muzzleloader hunt. No luck on the hunt but a good time relaxing. Happy birthday baby, I love you!

Also the day before Chad's birthday was his dad's birthday. So happy birthday Larry, we love you!

Play Dough and Stuff

While Dagen and Taite were in school today, I made them some play dough. We set up the picnic table outside - to not make a mess on my 'oh so clean floor'! LOL
