Dagen Lost his 1st Tooth

It has been a very long month or so trying to get Dagen to wiggle and tug on that little tooth! We would ask just to look at it and he would start squirming around. On Saturday, we asked if we could look and he closed his mouth real tight and wouldn't let us. He finally decided to let us look at it and we tried to pull it out. He started crying and ran into the other room. He came back a bit later, calmed down. Chad went and got a piece of dental floss and tied a slip knot on it. He told Dagen that we are going to put it on the tooth and then Dagen could pull it as hard as he felt comfortable with. Dagen went to tug on it and the floss slipped off the tooth. So Chad did it again and he tightened a bit tighter. He told Dagen to start pulling on it. Meanwhile, Chad was tugging on it at the same time and POP! that little tooth came right out. He cried and cried saying that it hurt. Well Grandpa asked him later if it really hurt or if he was just faking. He said it didn't hurt but he just didn't want to have a hole in his smile. But he is still adorable even with a hole in his smile. He was so excited in the morning when he discovered that the tooth fairy had brought him money. He said that he is going to be so rich by the time he is done losing all of his teeth. Maybe, but mom and dad are going to be so poor by that time also!!

That hole really isn't all that big little buddy! I can't believe that you are old enough to start losing teeth. You are growing up way too fast. Love ya little man!

How fun! It does mean they are growing up and it is sad. It is amazing how fast time goes.
